Sip the spirit of the season with these Cowichan cocktails

With three world-class distilleries to choose from there are endless opportunities for seasonal spirits!

Stillhead Distilling’s Old Fashioned

Ingredients
  • Stillhead’s Rye
  • Cosman and Webb Maple Syrup
  • Rootside Aromatic-ish Bitters
  • Lemon Curl
MAKE IT
  • Add ice to a mixing glass
  • Add 2 oz Rye
  • Add 1 bar spoon Maple Syrup
  • Add 2 dashes bitters
  • Stir
  • Pour cocktail in a highball glass over ice
  • Add lemon curl

AMPERSAND DISTILLING‘s Nocino Negroni

Ingredients
  • Ampersand’s Nocino
  • Ampersand’s Gin
  • Campari
  • Orange garnish
MAKE IT
  • Add ice to a highball glass
  • Add 1 oz Nocino
  • Add 1 oz Gin
  • Add 1 oz Campari
  • Stir
  • Add orange peel (or dried orange) garnish

MERRIDALE’s AURA GIN & TONIC

Ingredients
  • Merridale’s Cowichan Aura Gin
  • Fever Tree Tonic
  • Lemon
  • Sprig of Lavender
MAKE IT
  • Fill a highball glass with ice
  • Stir ice to chill the glass then drain the water
  • Add 5 oz. of Fever Tree Tonic
  • Squeeze a small amount of fresh lemon juice into the glass
  • Place lemon wheel on top of the tonic so that it lays flat
  • Gently pour 1.5oz of Aura Gin into the glass
  • Stir slowly
