The second annual People’s Choice Nature of Cowichan photography competition is moving to our newest downtown Duncan venue, The Ainslie Restaurant. The contest, open to Cowichan photographers, will display some of the finest nature photography being made here in the Cowichan Valley. People’s Choice awards and local gift certificates will be awarded to the top two vote-getting images. The artworks on display are all available for sale with 30% of the proceeds going back into future WildWings Festivals and habitat restoration projects in the Somenos watershed. Unfortunately, this year’s People’s Choice Awards reception will not be held due to COVID social distancing requirements in place.

 

To view the artworks, and vote for your favourites, please visit The Ainslie to enjoy their locally-sourced menu while you enjoy a meal or beverage. To vote for, or purchase a photograph, please inquire with The Ainslie’s staff. To visit the show without enjoying a meal or beverage, it is strongly recommended that you do so between 2 and 4 when the restaurant is not busy with customers, bring a mask and check in with the servers for social distancing guidelines in place.
