Living in Lockdown
These extraordinary times demand a creative response. As the first new show following our planned reopening, Living in Lockdown will explore the themes of isolation and humanity. Works will be in any medium including photography, fabric, clay, painting, drawing or mixed media that expresses reactions to the pandemic. Then and Now: 50 Years of CVAC
To kick off our 50th year (CVAC was formed in 1971), our next member show will be a look back at the artistās own creative evolution. Artists will submit two pieces, one old and one new! Some artists may have long journeys, while others are still very new. Artists will submit statements describing their journey from A to B. The show will be a chance to see the detours and inspirations people take along the way to creative mastery.

Cowichan Valley Arts Council Youth Art Show 2021
The show will run from April 10th to the 24th! New works by young artists 13 and over. CVAC is delighted to have the opportunity to display creations from young members of the art community. Registration is $5 and participating artists will receive a one-year membership to CVAC. Registration starts March 29, 2021. Exhibit visitors get to vote on their favourite piece of art for The Peopleās Choice Award, sign the guestbook and share their favourite pieces.

The inspiration for the show and programs will be the seven aspirational targets set by the Cowichan Watershed Board ā everything from estuary health to protected riverside habitats and clean drinking water.
