A holiday event the whole family can enjoy! Come see lego creations made by the community following the theme "Future Worlds" this holiday season! Works are made of all ages, as young as 3 and as old as, well humanly possible. Some creations were made by individuals as others were made in groups or even classrooms!

To kick off our 50th year (CVAC was formed in 1971), our next member show will be a look back at the artist’s own creative evolution. Artists will submit two pieces, one old and one new! Some artists may have long journeys, while others are still very new. Artists will submit statements describing their journey from A to B. The show will be a chance to see the detours and inspirations people take along the way to creative mastery.

Shards and Shreds is a combined and dynamic art show which displays various works created by glass and fibre artists. The show will be up in Cowichan Valley Arts Councils Gallery from February 5th to March 3rd.

Maple Bay Painters is a group of artists from the Cowichan Valley who get together to develop their skills and create and showcase their work. Talented members of the Maple Bay Painters group show their works together in Cowichan Valley Arts Council’s Gallery for the first time.

The show will run from April 10th to the 24th! New works by young artists 13 and over. CVAC is delighted to have the opportunity to display creations from young members of the art community. Registration is $5 and participating artists will receive a one-year membership to CVAC. Registration starts March 29, 2021. Exhibit visitors get to vote on their favourite piece of art for The People’s Choice Award, sign the guestbook and share their favourite pieces.

When things get tough, artists really get creative. So considering the year we’ve just been through, the Cowichan Valley Fine Arts Show promises to be exceptional in 2021. As the largest show of its kind on Vancouver Island, it features work by emerging and renowned artists including painting and sculpture, jewelry design, furniture, photography and more.
