Sunfest Country Music Festival

Sunfest is a country music lovers’ paradise! Hosted at the pristine, 172-acre Laketown Ranch in Cowichan Lake, Sunfest is Vancouver Island’s largest music festival and the best way to spend your BC Day (August) Long Weekend. Sunfest has confirmed its return in 2024 with Keith Urban announced as the Canadian country music festival’s first headliner.

One of the most electrifying live performers in the world, superstar Keith Urban will take the Laketown Ranch stage’s top bill at the province’s largest country music festival on Friday, August 2nd. Also performing on the main stage on Friday is Canadian Grammy nominee, Steve Lee Olsen, who is among this generation’s most promising & exciting Country singer-songwriters. Other’s on Friday include North Vancouver’s Dave Hartney, Victoria’s acoustic rockers Born Reckless, up and coming Country duo JaimesonRhy, and many more

On Saturday, August 3rd, Nashville mainstay Lee Brice, the Grammy-nominated country music sensation, will take the headlining spot. With multiple platinum-selling albums and a string of No. 1 singles, Brice continues to redefine country music with his heartfelt storytelling and powerful performances. Saturday’s program will also include Ontario native and multi-CCMA nominee, Josh Ross, eastern Canada’s rising star Alli Walker, Alberta’s own Nice Horse, plus many others.

On Sunday August 4th, ACMA winning songwriter and singer Cole Swindell will headline. Swindell’s songwriting credentials include singles for Luke Bryan, Thomas Rhett, Craig Campbell and others, as well releasing an impressive string of No. 1 hits to his own credit. Also Sunday, The Reklaws, Ontario’s superstar sibling country music duo will light up the Sunfest stage. Support on Sunday will be provided by Texan singer-songwriter Abby Anderson, Ontario songwriting phenom Brian John Harwood, local party-bringers Harvey Hann & The Bandit Band, and many more.

Thursday August 1st will start the long weekend with a kick-off party on the Lakenight Stage, featuring Vancouver’s own multi-award winning, harmonic country trio, The Washboard Union. Also Thursday, catch local favourites Taylor-Rae, Whiskey Business, The Zach Thompson Band and more.
