Unearth the truest form of farm-to-table
With our 700-and-counting farms, the Cowichan region is rich in agriculture due to its Mediterranean-like climate and fertile soil. There is a warm pride to be encountered here that reflects the countless hours spent nurturing the land. Find everything from lavender and honey, to fresh produce, milk, cheese, and ice cream.
Meander along rural roads to stock up at our farmstands, or visit the year-round Duncan Farmers’ Market. Ask questions as you walk the fields on a tour and meet the fluffiest of farm animals. You could spend a whole trip (and then another) unearthing our farms alone.
Cowichan Grown Farm Map
The moments we gather around a table have long been some of our most memorable. Our region is home to a wealth of places that put food on the table, but more than that, foster a connection between those eating and our chefs, growers, and producers.
Our warm climate creates ideal conditions for a wide array of produce. Multi-generational family-run farms bring our guests closer to the land. Many farms are dedicated to organic and sustainable methods—eager to share their passion and the sense of community that is as deeply rooted as the things we grow.
The Cowichan Grown Farm Map (published by Cowichan Green Community) showcases this bounty and the talented and hard-working producers behind it all. Download the map below and plan your route to explore Cowichan’s farms. Print maps are also available at the Cowichan Regional Visitor Centre.
