The Lakehouse at Shawnigan

Introduction

An exciting new dining room has arrived at the end of the west arm of Shawnigan Lake. Expansive water views, a large dock and three lovely patios are all part of Cowichan Valley’s most exciting new dining venue. Proprietors Shane Clarke and Jill Tulloch welcome guests to a dining experience like no other. Executive Chef Ryan Bissell has created a menu, and levels of service, that will delight everyone.

It is casual, certainly, but with a sophisticated touch. The region around the restaurant supplies most of the food and beverages. Farm to table is not just a nice concept here, it is a way of life. The Lakehouse rigorously supports local distilleries, cideries, breweries, wineries, and of course farms. The menus change a little each day, but seasonality is the main theme.
