Introduction

Bute Island Regional Park is a 0.9 hectare (2.2 acre) island in Ladysmith Harbour with stunning views of the neighboring Gulf Islands and scenic mountains.  The regional park offers a day-use only dock which makes it ideal for kayakers and other small vessel users to visit the park.  There is a walking trail that circumnavigates the forested island which leads to the shoreline where small bays can be explored .  

Access is by boat only, with the closest kayak launch site being Transfer Beach in the Town of Ladysmith.
