Ladysmith Gallery

Introduction

The Arts Council of Ladysmith and District and the Ladysmith Gallery is the most comprehensive visual arts organization in Ladysmith! Our goal is to bring together artists and art lovers of all styles and mediums to provide artistic opportunities and experiences within the community and surrounding areas.

The Ladysmith Gallery hosts monthly art exhibitions that any registered member can submit works to. We feature artworks from artists all over Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands and we also offer special art experiences such as art pop ups and prestigious art exhibitions like our biennial Fine Arts Show. The gallery also provides rental space for artists to host their own gallery exhibitions that are open to the public.

The Arts Council is home to a vibrant arts education department with arts classes and workshops for all ages and experience levels. We are also known for our large scale arts events such as our 2-day juried outdoor Arts on The Avenue Festival which takes
place at the end of August.
